Privacy

Visits are counted. Nothing else is collected, no accounts or forms exist, and nothing is sold to anybody.

What is measured

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. It records which pages were opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and which site or search linked here. That is the whole of it, and it is used to see whether anyone is reading about the books.

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell one visit from the next. It does not store your IP address, and nothing here asks for your name, your email, or any other detail that would identify you. Google's own terms govern what it does with what it collects.

Cloudflare, which serves the site, counts visits of its own at the same time. That count sets no cookies and does not follow anyone from one site to the next. It records the page opened, the referring site, and general device and country information.

What is not

There are no accounts, no forms, no advertising, no tracking pixels from social networks, and no data sold or shared with anyone.

How to opt out

Any content blocker or a browser's tracking protection will stop both analytics scripts loading, and the site works exactly the same without them. Google also publishes an opt-out browser add-on that applies across every site using Analytics.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves the site and keeps its own ordinary request records. Those are not used here to identify anyone.
